Tests on fuel low-pressure side have been performed and were not cause for complaint.

Fuel tank is filled with clean fuel according to DIN EN 590.

Starter turning at starting speed ≥ 230revs/min.

»Carry out the following work sequence«

Pull fuel return line off high-pressure pump
-arrow-
.
–
Connect adapter -VAS 6551/5-2- to high-pressure pump return.

Hold adapter -VAS 6551/5-2-

in a suitable container

to check return flow rate.
Measure with starting speed ≥ 230revs/min.

Remove connector from fuel metering valve -N290-

Return flow rate (fuel flow rate when starter speed ≥ 230revs/min) present, continue with checks on high-pressure accumulator
→ Chapter

No return flow rate, renew high-pressure pump
→ Chapter
