Performing first fuel filling after installing high-pressure pump
  Caution
Risk of irreparable damage to high-pressure pump if allowed to run when empty.
After high-pressure pump has been installed, it must be filled with fuel before engine is first started.
  Note
t  When installing the high-pressure pump, it is essential to ensure that no dirt enters the fuel system.
t  Only remove sealing plugs immediately prior to installation of fuel lines.
t  There must be sufficient fuel in the tank.
Proceed as follows to fill high-pressure pump with fuel:
l  There must be sufficient fuel in the tank.
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis tester.
–  Switch ignition on.
–  Select „Engine electronics“ in the self-diagnosis program.
–  Then select „Basic setting“.
–  Select „Testing fuel pre-supply pump“ from selection list.
–  Press „Start“ button.
–  Fuel pump starts up.
–  Run fuel pump for approx. 1 minute to ensure that high-pressure pump contains sufficient fuel.
–  Start engine once fuel system is full.
–  Run engine at moderate speed for several minutes and then switch off.
–  Erase event memory.
–  Check fuel system for leaks.
–  Read and, if necessary, clear event memory after test drive.
