Connect contacts on coolant feed pump -V51 - with battery using auxiliary cables from VAG 1594 A.

The pump should start.

If the pump does not start:

-

Replace pump -V51-.

If the -V51- starts:

-

Switch ignition off and on.

Connect VAG 1527 B diode test lamp to disconnected attachment plug of coolant feed pump -V51- using auxiliary cables from VAG 1594 A.
The LED should illuminate.

Note:  This test must be conducted within 10 minutes of the time that the ignition was turned off  

If the LED does not illuminate:
-

Using wiring diagram find and repair open circuit.
