Remove bolts - 1 - and pull fuel rail with fuel injectors uniformly out of intake manifold.

-

Plug openings in intake manifold or cover it.

-

Pull off retaining clips - 3 - and then fuel injectors.

Installing

-

Install new O-rings for fuel injectors and coat them lightly with clean motor oil.

-

Press fuel injectors into fuel rail so that tabs - 1 - and - 2 - face one another.

-

Push retaining clip - 3 - into groove of fuel injector, as shown. Locate shoulder - 4 - correctly in cutout of retaining clip on both sides.

-

After assembly, verify that all fuel injectors are securely seated.

Set fuel rail with secured fuel injectors onto intake manifold and press it in uniformly.

-

Fasten fuel rail to intake manifold.

Further assembly is performed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Connect battery.

-

Bleed fuel system

-

If fuel injectors were replaced, erase adaptation values and adapt Engine Control Module (ECM) anew Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and
Information System VAS 5051 "Guided Functions".

Tightening torque:
