Protective cap

‹› Pull onto brake carrier and guide pin

Brake carrier with guide pins and protective cap

‹› Supplied as pre-assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on guide pins

‹› If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, install repair kit. Use grease packet supplied to lubricate guide pins

Protective seal

‹› Pull onto piston with outer sealing lip

Piston with automatic adjustment

‹› Removing and installing => [ Brake Caliper Piston ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Brake Caliper Piston.

‹› Apply thin coat of assembly paste (G 052 150 A2 ) on piston

Seal

Brake caliper housing with parking brake cable lever

‹› Removing and installing => [ Brake Caliper ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Brake Caliper.

‹› Replace if leaking at parking brake cable lever=> [ Pressure Leak Test ] See: Testing and Inspection/Pressure Leak Test. 

‹› Pre-bleed caliper housing after repairing => [ Brake Caliper, Pre-Bleeding ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Brake Caliper Piston.
