Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair

HID Headlamp

Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor

CAUTION!
‹› Turn off the ignition and all electrical components.

‹› Remove the ignition key.

Removing

-

Remove headlamp.

-

Remove the cover. Refer to => [ HID Bulb ]. See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/HID Headlamp/HID Bulb

Remove the screws - arrows - on the positioning motor. 

-

Remove the ball head on the axle from the reflector.

-

Disconnect the connector on the headlamp range control positioning motor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Make sure the headlamp is working correctly.

Perform basic setting of headlamp, refer to => [ HID Headlamp, Basic Setting ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/HID Headlamp, Basic Setting
