  • ‒ → Unscrew partition behind the pedals from the bulk head, remove from column tube and loosen hexagon nut (arrow) on the joint shaft.
  • ‒ Unscrew front exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold and catalyst.
  • ‒ Fit engine support bracket 10-222A with legs 10-222A/1.
  • ‒ Locate support bracket in lifting eye on right of cylinder head and take-up weight of engine.
  • ‒ Remove right assembly mounting with bracket.
  • ‒ Support assembly carrier with engine and gearbox jack V.A.G 1383A.
  • ‒ Remove sub-fame bolts.
  • ‒ Lower sub-frame by approx. 10 cm.
  • ‒ Remove front exhaust pipe.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
