| Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- |
Mechanical engine basic setting OK. |
Coolant temperature must be at least 80 °C. |

| Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- → Chapter. When doing this the engine must be running at idling speed. |

| Select “self-diagnosis” operating mode. |
–
| Press “Engine electronics” key on display. |
–
| Select “Read measured value block” key on display. |
–
| Select “1 - Display group 1” on keypad in display. |
–
| Viewed from top, observe value in second position. (corresponds to 2.2...9 mg/stroke). |
–
| Note injected quantity value. |
Note Injection pump must be reset to the previously noted injection quantity value. |

| Viewed from top, observe value in second position: (Corresponds to 2.2...9 mg/stroke) or noted value. |
If the specification is not achieved: |

| Loosen quantity adjuster securing bolts max. 1/4 turn. |
–
| Observe injected quantity value on display and shift quantity adjuster in necessary direction by tapping gently with a plastic hammer: |

| Towards toothed belt sprocket: Quantity injected increases. |
t
| Towards distributor head: Quantity injected decreases. |
–
| After achieving specification, tighten quantity adjuster securing bolts to 9 Nm. |
