Special tools and workshop equipment required

• ◆ 3079 Counter-hold

Removing

• ‒ → Remove cover.

• ‒ → Unbolt suspension strut form interior.

• ‒ → Pull off handbrake lever trim.
• ‒ Disconnect handbrake cables -1- from handbrake lever.
• ‒ Separate ABS sensor wiring at connector under rear seat, and pass through floor plate (only vehicles with ABS).

• ‒ → Disconnect brake pipes (arrows).
• ‒ Pull handbrake cables out of guide tubes.
• ‒ Place gearbox jack V.A.G 1383 A in position.

• ‒ → Disconnect shock suspension strut (arrow) from rear axle.

Installing

Install in reverse order
