For all fuel supplying/injection jobs, the “6 cleaning rules” must be strictly followed: |
t
Carefully clean connection points and surrounding areas before disconnecting them.
t
Removed parts must be placed on a clean surface and covered. Do not use cloths that tear residues off!
t
For repairing jobs which won't be immediately executed, carefully cover open parts or place them in a proper location.
t
Install only clean parts: Remove replacemet parts from packaging only immediately before assembly. Do not install parts that have been kept out of packaging (in a tool box for example).
t
In case of an open system: Avoid operations with compressed air. Avoid moving vehicle.
t
Ensure there is no contact between diesel and cooling hoses. If necessary hoses must be immediately cleaned. Affected hoses must be replaced.
