Removal
Removal
–  Release the tensioning roller and remove toothed belt from the crankshaft sprocket → Chapter.
–  Remove the camshaft gear. To loosen the screw, immobilize the camshaft gear with a Pin wrench -3036-.
–  Remove mechanical distribution front cover.
–  For seal puller guide, fasten camshaft screw manually up to the stop on the camshaft.
–  Turn the inner part of the Puller -3240- twice (approx. 3 mm) from the external part, and lock it with the splined screw.
   
–  Lubricate the puller threaded head, seat it and screw it applying as much force to the seal as possible.
–  Loosen the splined screw and turn the inner part against the camshaft until the seal is extracted.
–  Loosen fastening screw used in the camshaft gear.
