Camshaft - remove and install|Installation > < Camshaft - remove and install
Removal
Removal
–  Remove the engine cover.
–  Remove the lower part of the air duct hose → Chapter.
  Note
Seal the intake channels in the bottom part of the intake manifold, with a clean cloth.
–  Remove the upper mechanical distribution cover.
   
–  Turn the crankshaft until the camshaft gear reaches the TDC marking for cylinder 1. The camshaft gear marking must be aligned with the -arrow- on the mechanic distribution front cover.
–  Completely remove the engine cushion and support → Chapter.
–  Loosen the tensioning pulley and remove the timing belt from the camshaft gear.
–  Turn the crankshaft slightly in counterclockwise direction.

–  Remove the camshaft gear. To unscrew the screw, block the camshaft gear with the Wrench -3415-.
–  Remove camshaft key.
–  Remove the engine cylinder head cover.
–  First, remove the bearing caps 5, 1 and 3. Then, loosen the bearing caps 2 and 4 alternately and in cross fashion.
