1 - Intermediate muffler

q   Pay attention on the installation position.
4 - Cutting point
q   Identified by means of depressions on the connecting pipe.
q   During production, the intermediate muffler and the rear muffler are assembled as one part. In case of repairs, the intermediate muffler and the rear muffler are supplied separately with a double clamp for connection.
q   Cut the exhaust tube perpendicularly at the cutting point, using a Pneumatic saw -VAG 1523A- or Tube cutter -VAS 6254- → Fig.

Cutting point on the pipe
–  Cut the tube perpendicularly at the cutting point -arrow 2-.
–  When installing, position the repair double clamp -4- on the side markings -arrow 1- and -arrow 3-. Tightening torque 40 Nm.
