Removal
Removal
–  Check whether vehicle has code radio and if so, consult anti-theft code.
–  With ignition off, disconnect ground cable from battery.
–  First remove main indented belt → Chapter.
–  Remove head cover → Chapter.
–  Remove rockers, along with supporting elements and place them on a clean surface.
–  Ensure rockers and supporting elements are not mixed.
–  Loosen cooling fluid container cover to release cooling system pressure.
–  Drain cooling fluid → Chapter.
–  Remove from thermostatic valve body the lock of linking tube to water pump.
–  Remove thermostatic valve body.
–  Remove depressurizing tubes heads, cooling fluid, etc.
–  Loosen guide tube of oil level measuring stick.
–  Loosen fuel distributor and supply hose.
  WARNING
Fuel supply tube is under pressure. Before loosening tube connections, place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure carefully loosening connection.
–  Loosen connectors support of head upper part.
–  Remove and move away from engine the necessary electric cables.
–  Disconnect exhaust front tube from exhaust collector.
   
–  Lift engine a little with fuse -B-.
  Note
Both hook holes for engine fixing are on the head, so it is necessary to use an additional support to fix engine on block part.
–  Fix as per indicated support Retainer -T10014- on water pump area of engine block. Tightening torque: 20 Nm.
–  Lift engine a little with a second pulley -A- so that pulley -B- is not stuck.
–  Remove pulley -B-.
