Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Release gearstick boot or gear shift cover from mountings → Rep. gr.34.
–  Remove hand brake lever trim → Brake system; Rep. gr.46.
–  Remove hand brake cover cap → Chapter.
–  Remove dash panel middle trims → Chapter.
–  Remove centre console cover → Chapter.
   
–  Release cup holder -1- from centre console with removal wedge -3409-.
  Note
A storage compartment may be installed as an alternative to the cup holder.
–  Remove bolt -2- (1.5 Nm).

–  Unscrew lateral bolts -1- and -2- (1.5 Nm).
–  Unscrew bolts -3- (1.5 Nm).

   
–  Release lateral Velcro straps -1-.

–  Swing centre console -1- upwards -arrow- and, depending on vehicle equipment, separate wiring harnesses.

Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
