WARNING When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment,
pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions: |

| Route all the various lines and electrical wiring so that they
are in their original positions. |
t
| e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, activated charcoal filter system,
coolant and refrigerant, brake fluid, vacuum. |
t
| Ensure that there is sufficient clearance to all moving or
hot components. |
|
WARNING Risk of injury from automatic start of engine on vehicles
with start/stop system. |
t
| If the vehicle's start/stop system is activated (indicated
by message displayed in dash panel), the engine can start automatically
as required. |
t
| Always ensure that the start/stop system is deactivated when
working on vehicle (switch ignition off and switch ignition on again
only when necessary). |

Note the following if testers and measuring instruments have
to be used during a road test: |
t
| Test and measuring instruments must always be secured to rear
seat and operated by a second person. |
To prevent injuries to persons and/or destruction of the injection
and glow plug system, the following must be noted: |
t
| The ignition must be switched off before connecting or disconnecting
injection or glow plug system wiring or tester cables. |
t
| The battery should only be disconnected and reconnected with
ignition switched off. |
