  Caution
When batteries are disconnected and reconnected, the procedure described in the workshop manual must be strictly observed → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
t  Release lever -80-200-
Removing:
–  Remove wiper frame together with wiper motor → Chapter.

–  Lever ball end -arrow- of linkage -1- off motor crank using release lever -80-200-.

–  Remove securing nut -1-.
–  Pull motor crank -2- off wiper motor shaft.
–  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- and remove wiper motor together with control unit from wiper frame.

Installing
  N92-10085
–  Insert wiper motor with control unit in wiper frame and secure using securing bolts -arrows-.
–  Place motor crank -1- on shaft of wiper motor. Angle -a - = 7°
–  Connect motor crank to shaft of wiper motor with securing nut -2-.
–  Tighten threaded connections to specified torques → Chapter.

–  Press ball head -arrow- of linkage -1- onto motor crank.
–  Install wiper frame together with wiper motor → Chapter.
