Remove bolt -arrow- for stub shaft and flange shaft.

-

Pull out stub shaft and flange shaft together with spring.

-

Pry out seal with a lever.

Installing

-

Lightly oil the outer circumference of the new seal.

-

Fill half of volume between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G 052 128

-

Drive new seal in as far as the stop; be sure not to distort seal.

-

Insert stub shaft or flange shaft.

-

Fasten stub shaft and flange shaft with new countersunk screw and tighten to 30 Nm.

Vehicles with intermediate shaft

-

Replace stub shaft O-ring.

-

Grease the stub shaft splines with grease G 000 100.

-

Guide the intermediate shaft -B- on the mounting bracket -C- onto the transmission stub shaft

-

Tighten the intermediate shaft on the mounting bracket to specification. -arrows-.

Continued for all vehicles

-

Install right drive axle.

-

Install right wheel.

-

Replace the DSG oil and filter.

-

Install the noise insulation if necessary.
