Note: The mark -arrow A- on the bottom side of the final drive identifies which final drive is installed.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Extractor lever VW 681

^

Puller T10037

^

Thrust piece T10049

^

Drip tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208

Sealing grease G 052 128 A1

Removing

-

Remove the drive axle.

-

Place the drip tray under the rear final drive.

Left Flange Shaft, Removal

-

Screw a M8 nut -arrow- on puller T10037 threads until it is flush with beginning of threads.

-

Remove flange shaft with puller T10037.

Right Flange Shaft, Removal

-

Screw a M8 nut -arrow- on puller T10037 threads until it is flush with beginning of threads.

-

Remove flange shaft with puller T10037.
