Place the engine and transmission holder (VAG  1383 A) with universal transmission adapter (1359/2) under the subframe/rear axle.

-

Support the subframe using a wooden block. 

-

Remove both front bolts - arrows - on subframe.

-

Lower the subframe using the  engine and transmission holder (VAG 1383 A) by the dimension -  a - = 50 mm.

To avoid damaging rear driveshaft, have a second technician  assist in removing rear driveshaft.
