| Carry out following work: |
| – | Brace the bonnet open. |
| – | Swing out support rod -1- from its mounting in clip -2--arrow a-. |
| – | Pull support rod -1- out of clip -2--arrow b-. |
| The clip can also be removed. |
| – | Press together locking hook -arrows c- and pull clip out of bonnet -arrow d-. |

| Carry out following work: |
| – | Check clip -2- for damage, renew if necessary. |
| – | Insert clip -2- into hinge -arrow a-. |
| – | Insert support rod into clip -arrow b- and swing support rod into its mounting in clip -arrow c-. |
| – | Check mounting bracket -3- for damage, renew if necessary. |
| – | Insert mounting bracket -3- into respective hole in bonnet and move it in -direction of arrow d-. |
