Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Front end hook -3370-
Removing
  Note
t  The core of the window slot outer seal is a metal insert.
t  If it is bent or distorted, the window slot outer seal cannot be straightened out anymore. It will remain „wavy“.
t  Therefore, the window slot outer seal must be pulled off and pressed on evenly, without bending or distorting it.
t  Removal and installation are only described for the left window slot outer seal. Removal and installation of the right window slot outer seal are similar.

Carry out following work:
–  Remove window slot inner seal → Chapter.
–  Pull window slot outer seal out of catches in flange -arrow a- using front-end hook -3370-.
–  Slightly pull window slot outer seal uniformly from front door flange -arrows b- without bending or distorting window slot outer seal.
–  Pull off window slot outer seal from underneath exterior mirror -arrow c-.

Installing
   
Carry out following work:
  Note
t  The use of assembly aid is allowed.
t  The use of striking tools is not allowed for installing window slot outer seal.
–  Insert window slot outer seal underneath exterior mirror -arrow c-.
–  Align window slot outer seal -1- with B-pillar -arrows b- and press it uniformly -arrows c- and by hand onto door flange.
–  Install window slot inner seal → Chapter.
