Removing and installing emergency braking function sensor unit
1 - Retainer tab
q   For securing the emergency braking function sensor unit -J939-
q   Glued to windscreen
2 - Electrical connections
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Emergency braking function sensor unit -J939-
q   Removing and installing sensor → Chapter
4 - Retaining clip
q   For securing the emergency braking function sensor unit -J939-
q   Glued to windscreen
5 - Cover

Removing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removing wedge -3409-
  W00-0016
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove cover cap from emergency braking function sensor unit -J939-.
–  Detach electrical connector -1- for emergency braking function.
–  Release retainer tab -2- and remove sensor from windscreen.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence, when doing this note the following:
–  First insert the lower sensor lug in the retaining clip -3-.
–  Swing sensor into position between mirror base and windscreen.
  Note
The retainer tab for the emergency braking function sensor unit -J939- must be aligned centrally with relation to the clip and must engage audibly.
