t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
Removing
Remove mounting bracket with clutch master cylinder → Chapter.
The figure shows installed mounting bracket with clutch master cylinder.

–  Pull bearing shaft -A- for plunger/clutch master cylinder out of clutch pedal in -direction of arrow 1-.
–  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows 2- and remove clutch master cylinder from mounting bracket.
–  Remove clutch master cylinder from mounting bracket.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
l  Always renew bearing shaft -A- (⇒ figure above).
l  Bearing shaft -A- must audibly engage in clutch pedal.
–  Test bearing shaft by tugging on it.
–  Install clutch master cylinder to mounting bracket using securing bolts -arrows 2- (⇒ figure above).
Torque setting: → Item.
Install mounting bracket with clutch master cylinder → Chapter.
