Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-
Carry out the following work:
Removing
–  Remove steering column → Chapter.
  W00-0990
–  Unscrew bolt -1- and remove assembly aid -2- from steering column.
Installing
  N48-10668
–  Insert lug -arrow A- on assembly aid -1- into hole -arrow B- of steering column -2-.
  Note
The hole of assembly aid -1- must face towards splines of steering column -2-.
–  Screw in bolts -3- and tighten to specified torque.
Specified torques
  N48-10669
