Tighten bolts Reconnect link rod

Remove guide pieces from tailgate sides

Install new striker plate

Adjust tailgate back and forth.

Adjust striker plate as needed.

NOTE:

If necessary, adjust horizontal position of tailgate by adjusting hinge position:

-

detach headliner. Remove one hinge bolt; loosen other two.

-

position tailgate; tighten bolts.

Loosely install guide bracket (sliding fit)

Close tailgate to align bracket. Carefully open tailgate and tighten bolts.

Check:

-

that safety catch functions (same as side doors)

-

that tailgate can be locked with key (check central locking function as applicable).

Install:

-

tailgate trim

-
