Sunroof / Moonroof Panel: Service and Repair

Sunroof, replacement 
 
 
Removal 

Remove wind deflector, if installed.

Open sunroof halfway.

Release clamps securing front edge of sunroof headlining.

Slide headlining to rear.

Wind sunroof forwards and remove retaining screws as indicated.

Note:  Observe position of plates. 

Lift away sunroof.

 
 
Installation 

Transfer from old sunroof:

-  weatherstrip
-  soundproofing
-  rubber bushings
-  guide shoe assembly
-  side moulding.

Apply adhesive P/N 1161095-3 to weatherstrip.

Wind sunroof attachments to rearmost position. 

Position sunroof and tighten four attachments.

Note:  The reinforcement plate for rear attachments are inserted in grooves below sunroof.

Install leaf springs, as illustrated.
