THIS BULLETIN IS APPLICABLE TO THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS
Camshaft bearing surfaces which are scored due to lack of lubrication (seized camshaft) caused by sludge build-up in the oil gallery (lack of
maintenance), can, in most cases, be repaired by reaming the bearing surfaces and drilling the oil supply gallery. The reconditioning must be performed
with cylinder head removed.
NOTE:
This method should be used on older vehicles, outside the new car warranty, in order to reduce the repair cost.
