1.
Run engine to operating temperature.
2.
Use the four cylinder "dwell" setting and read the 70° dwell scale. Fig. 187.

Disconnect Lambda sond (oxygen sensor) and ground the wire coming from the control unit (not the one coming from the Lambda sond). Fig.
190.
4.
Dwell reading should be 0°.
5.
If dwell reading is not 0°, replace Lambda sond (provided wiring and control unit are o.k.) and recheck system.
6.
Reconnect Lambda sond and disconnect all testing equipment.
