Mark position of upper journal

Picture shows bearing at rearmost position. Unscrew nuts and remove washers

Lower jack. Push down on spring strut to release it from fender.

CAUTION:
Take care not to damage bodywork. Hook strut on to anti-roll bar using 5045.

Attach spring compressor tool 5040 and compress spring

Place the hooks opposite each other. There should be at least three free spring turns between the hooks. Tighten bolts crosswise.

WARNING:
Compress spring until it does not exert any pressure against spring journal.
