Replacement of seal/quick-coupling for heating hoses at the firewall pipe junction

A new kit, P/N 3545662-3, has been introduced as a replacement part. The plastic ring which locks the 0-rings in the firewall pipe junction has been
replaced with a new quick-coupling with an integrated locking function.

This bulletin describes the method to remove the old quick-coupling and install the new quick-coupling.

Warning:

Care should be taken when working with coolant at operating temperature.

Removal of heating hoses

Carefully loosen expansion tank cap to depressurize system.

Remove pre-heating hose (if applicable).

Clamp the heating hoses with hose clamp pliers.

-

Press coupling tabs.

-

Remove the quick-coupling and pull the hoses free.

-

Remove the quick-coupling from the hoses.
