3. Remove parking pawl rod plate, then parking pawl rod, Fig. 14.
4. Disconnect control rod from regulator shaft.
5. Using a suitable drift and hammer, drive lockpin from throttle cam.
6. Remove regulator shaft and regulator shaft seals. On some models, a 3/4 inch hole must be drilled in left floor pan to remove regulator shaft.
7. Clean and inspect all parts. Replace defective parts as required.
8. Install new seals onto regulator shaft.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
