Overdrive Solenoid: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from gear selector, then pull wire from sheath and unhook from bracket.
3. Clean, then remove solenoid and O-rings.
4. Connect a suitable ohmmeter to solenoid. Correct resistance is 13 ohms. If not, replace solenoid.
5. Reverse procedure to install, using new O-rings.
