SITUATION:
Tiny water droplets can spray from center dash vents during certain A/C operating conditions:
-
high fan speeds
-
high ambient temperature
-
very high humidity
-
abrupt changes of vehicle direction
Slight sloshing noise might also be noticed. This results from slow condensate drainage.
CAUSE:
Air backflow through the A/C plenum drain, created by high fan speeds, can impede drainage of condensate.
REPAIR:
Condensate drainage can be improved during these conditions by installing an insert in the outlet end of the A/C drain hose.
