Note! The outer constant velocity joint can remain assembled while cleaned. If it is possible that the constant velocity joint is damaged, continue
below. Otherwise, go to  Greasing and installation See: Procedures/Greasing and Installation. 

Use an electrical etching pin to mark the outer constant velocity joint's outer ring, bearing race and inner ring in relation to each other.

Remove the ball bearings.
