V40 L4-1.9L Turbo VIN 29 B4204T3 (2002)
Remove:
-
the wiring from the frame
-
the tie strap on the connector. Pull the cable to the motor
-
the tie strap from the frame.
Hook the spring (1) on the lower side. Place the seat on its end.
Remove:
-
the screws (2) holding the motor from the frame. Note the washer (3)
-
the nut (4) from the shaft on the side of the motor.
Pull the shaft out to one side. Remove the motor.
Remove the spring (1) from the motor.
Installation
Installing The Backrest Motor

Transfer the spring (1) to the new motor. Wrap the masking tape (2) around the spring to protect the motor.

Install edge trim (3), length 115 mm, if not already installed.
