Wastegate Actuator: Removal and Replacement
Replacing the boost pressure control (BPC) valve
Conditions
Remove:
-
the heat shield from the exhaust manifold
-
the air cleaner (ACL) assembly. See Replacing the air cleaner (ACL) See: Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
-
the air intake hose.
Removing the boost pressure control (BPC) valve
Remove:
-
the locking pin
-
the two screws (A)
-
the vacuum hose from the valve
-
the boost pressure control (BPC) valve. Turn the boost pressure control (BPC) valve when removing it. This will also release the vacuum hose.
Set the new boost pressure control (BPC) valve to the same setting as the old valve
