Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Procedures

Steering Wheel Contact Reel 

Preparations 
Prepare the car.

Removing The Contact Reel 

Remove: 

-

the steering wheel module

-

the steering wheel.

Position the steering column in the lowest position.

Remove the upper cover from the steering column.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the two screws.

Press the lock pin down.

Remove the contact reel.

Installing Contact Reel 

Install: 

-

the connector for the contact reel

-

the contact reel by pressing in the lock pin

-

the two screws. Tighten to 2.5 Nm.
