Preparations
Prepare the car according to Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Battery, Disconnecting.
Removing the contact reel
Remove:

the steering wheel module according to Steering wheel module and steering wheel See: Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Airbag Driver's Side (SRS), Replacing

the steering wheel according to Steering wheel module and steering wheel See: Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Airbag
Driver's Side (SRS), Replacing.
Position the steering column in the lowest position.
Remove the upper cover from the steering column.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the two screws.
Press the lock pin down.
Remove the contact reel.
Installing contact reel
