Ensure that the rod is in the bracket

Tighten the two screws to 48 Nm

Connect the connector to the seat belt tensioner
-
Install the B-post panel.

Connect the battery negative terminal
-
Switch on the ignition
-
Enter the anti-theft radio code.
The Rear Seat Belt
Removing And Checking The Seat Belts For The Rear Seats
NOTE: All S40/V40 models are equipped with pyrotechnical seat belt tensioners. It is impossible to replace the seat belts only.
Checking The Function Of The Seat Belts
Symptoms of a deployed seat belt tensioner:

when the seat belt is pulled out, it sticks or jerks
-
the seat belt cannot be stretched out at all or only very little.
Preparations

Make a note of the anti-theft radio code

Switch off the ignition
-
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
NOTE: Wait at least five minutes before disconnecting the connector or beginning work with electrical components.

Remove the B-post panel.
