Connect special tool: 998 8695 TEST DEVICE See: Tools and Equipment/998 8695 Test Device to the two steering wheel module connectors.
The tool is connected so that the car can be driven without the SRS diagnostic system registering a diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
If the ignition is switched on when neither steering wheel module nor special tool are connected then a diagnostic trouble code will be registered for an
open circuit in the wiring. (Diagnostic trouble codes must be cleared)
