Removal
Removing engine compartment components
Note: When removing the battery lead, see Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead.
Remove
-
the air cleaner (ACL) housing assembly with the intake pipe
-
the battery.
-
the battery shelf.
Detach the gear selector cable from the lever (A)

Remove the two nuts for cable mounting B
-
Lift the cable to the side.
Caution: Take care not to damage the cable or sleeve by bending it excessively. Take care not to damage the cable boot.
