Use flat-nosed pliers to remove the cable pin

Unclip the cable sleeve from the gear selector assembly. Use a screwdriver

-

Remove the cable.

Removing the transmission cable 

-

Slacken off the frame for the rubber grommet in the cowl panel (2 nuts) 

-

Remove the cable by pulling it into the passenger compartment. 

Note:  Pulling the cable and bracket through the engine compartment is a two man operation.

Installation 
Installing the transmission cable 

Carefully insert the cable from the passenger compartment into the engine compartment.

Note:  Pulling the cable and bracket through the engine compartment is a two man operation.

Caution:  Take care not to damage the cable or sleeve by bending it excessively. Take care not to damage the cable boot. 

Install 
-

the cable sleeve in the gear selector assembly by pressing it into place

-

the cable on the gear selector with the pin 

-

the frame over the rubber grommet in the cowl panel (2 nuts). Tighten to: 25 Nm.

Installing the center console 
Install the center console.

Install
