Be sure to wear safety glasses for the rest of this procedure. 

Position the Spring Holder next to the spring and partially depress the clutch pedal. When the pedal is depressed approximately 1/3 of its travel,
the spring is fully compressed. Slip the holder over the spring.

Depress the pedal the rest of the way and remove the spring & holder together from the car.

Using pliers or a vise, carefully compress the spring slightly and remove the holder.

Position the new spring in a vise with soft jaws. Make sure the spring is positioned so that the center-pin is not damaged. Compress the spring just
enough to get the holder to begin to slide over it.
