3. Removing drive shaft sealing ring
Remove drive shaft sealing ring and coupling sleeve O-ring.
Use a screwdriver.
4. Installing O-ring and sealing ring
Install a new coupling sleeve O-ring on the differential housing
Install a new drive shaft sealing ring
Lubricate seal with wheel bearing grease, part No. 1161241-3, or equivalent.
Use drift tool No. 999 5654, or equivalent.
5. Installing sealing ring
Install coupling sleeve sealing ring
Lubricate seal with wheel bearing grease, part No. 1161241-3, or equivalent.
Use drift tool No. 999 5657, or equivalent.
Tap in seal until drift bottoms on its stop against transmission.
