Remove the locking sleeve over the cable splice on the cable (1) for the front engine block heater socket. Pull off the cable.

Illustration B applies to cars with an engine block heater only

Remove the locking sleeve over the cable splice on the cable (1) for the front engine block heater socket. Pull off the cable.

Cut off the four tie straps holding the cable for the front engine block heater socket at the sub-frame. Leave the clips in the sub-frame

Remove the cable from the sub-frame. Allow the cable to hang.
