Idle Speed: Adjustments
Fast Idle
1.
Connect a suitable tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.
2.
Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
3.
Disconnect and plug distributor vacuum advance hose.
4.
Check fast idle speed. Fast idle speed obtained should be 3400 RPM.
5.
If fast idle speed obtained is not as specified, turn fast idle speed adjusting screw until correct fast idle speed is obtained.
