3.2TL TYPE S V6-3.2L SOHC (2002)
13. Remove the backing plate from the rear knuckle.
14. Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolt (A) from the trailing arm (B).
15. Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolts from the backing plate (A), and remove the cable (B).
16. Reinstall the parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Be careful not to damage the joint boot when connecting the upper arm to the knuckle.

Tighten the castle nut to the lower torque specifications, then tighten it only far enough to align the slot with the hole in the stud. Do not align
the castle nut by loosening it.

Tighten all mounting hardware to the specified torque values.

Use a new cotter pin in the castle nut.

Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces on the brake disc and inside of the wheel.

Adjust the parking brake.
^
Check the rear wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary.
