Front Passenger's Seat Does Not Slide Forward for Rear Seat Access
SYMPTOM
The front passenger's seat does not slide forward when you pull up the seat-back release lever for rear seat access.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The rear seat access cable is disconnected.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Reattach the rear seat access cable to the fork on the recliner pivot.
NOTE:
Check and repair the cable at TQI and whenever a customer's vehicle has this problem.
1.
Remove the seat track end covers and the seat mounting bolts with a screwdriver wrapped in tape.
2.
Carefully remove the seat from the car without scratching the door sill molding. Place the seat on a cloth-covered workbench.
