Seat Latch Cable: Adjustments
Rear Seat Access Cable Adjustment
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and precautions and procedures before performing repairs or service.
If you replaced the rear seat access cable with a new one, adjust it with its adjusting nut as following:
NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

The driver's seat is shown, the passenger's seat is symmetrical.
1. Turn the adjusting nut (A) to adjust the other side end of the cable (B) as shown, then tighten the locknut (C).
2. Reinstall the seat-back frame on the seat linkage, then reconnect the upper end of the cable to the rear seat access lever of the frame, 4-way power
seat, 8-way power seat.
3. Check operation of the rear seat access:

With the seat-back frame in the up-right position, the lack plate (A) is pushing the upper limit switch (B).

Just as the recline lever is pulled up, the seat-back frame folds down fully because the spring returns.

If necessary, readjust the rear seat access cable, for proper operation.
